Credit Managers' Index Suggests Robust Future for the Economy
| The Credit Managers' Index is now sitting at 55.8, rising a full percentage point above January's reading. The index is at its highest since April 2011, a time when most indicators were pointing to a pretty solid year. It is worth noting that last year was also affected by an oil shock at about this point and a back-sliding economy in the months that followed. Washington Federal to Sell Two El Paso, Texas Branches
| Washington Federal Inc., parent company of Washington Federal, Seattle, has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its two branches in El Paso, Texas, to Pioneer Bank of Roswell, N.M. The agreement calls for the approximately $20 million of deposits and the bank premises to be sold. No loans are included in this transaction. This transaction is subject to regulatory approval.
