A2iA CheckReader & OnBase Branch Capture
The OnBase Branch Capture solution enables a financial institution to do batch capture of check images and the associated MICR line data, allowing them to take advantage of Check 21 processing. The dollar amount of each check is captured by utilizing an industry leading CAR/LAR (Courtesy Amount Recognition / Legal Amount Recognition) solution developed by A2iA. This CAR/LAR recognition is a built-in feature of A2iA CheckReader and utilizes its proprietary, advanced neural network and artificial intelligence. A2iA CheckReader is the only check-processing engine on the market able to detect mismatched CAR and LAR amounts in real-time. After this step, the check images are then QA'd for image quality and balanced either at the branch or in the back office. Once the batches are balanced, they are imported and archived to OnBase for permanent storage and for further Check 21 processing. Primary benefits provided to a financial institution include:
