First Corporate Solutions Online UCC Search, Filing
& Portfolio Management System

First Corporate Solutions maintains a proprietary UCC search, filing and portfolio management system designed to provide lenders a Web-based solution for fulfilling their due diligence search and filing requirements. The system empowers users to perform online searches, view instant document images, place orders, prepare and submit UCC filings and manage their entire UCC filing portfolios. During that last 12 months, First Corporate Solutions has introduced several system enhancements that greatly enrich the customer experience and add value for online users.

Enhancements include:

  • We have adopted broader search logic that allows for the inclusion of certain similar names on the final results report, a benefit not available on a state certified search.
  • Changes to the preliminary search report are noted on the final results report with an asterisk and a detailed description of exactly was amended.
  • The final results report is accompanied by an addendum page detailing any similar names found, allowing the client flexibility in determining their utility.

In November, Missouri online UCC searching and e-filing was introduced. For UCC searches in the state, customers were then able to make use of broad-based name searching and wildcard characters to maximize search results and locate similar names that may be of interest in their funding decisions. Customers could also file via electronic transmission to the state filing office. Benefits of e-filing include: reduced statutory fees, immediate filing, fewer rejections, greater efficiency and no correspondent or expedited fees. In December, Indiana UCC searching was released.

Also, the company has made a significant enhancement to the historical filing feature of the online system. Previously, customers could enter only historical filing data into the system, but now customers can also upload an image of the actual filed document into their filing portfolio. This improvement gives users immediate access to complete filing information for convenient reference and subsequent filing preparation.
