Gruenberg: Deposit Insurance Premiums Not Going Down Anytime Soon
FDIC Chairman Martin Gruenberg spoke at the Independent Community Bankers Association's National Convention in Las Vegas last week. Besides telling the audience that premiums will not decrease anytime soon, Gruenberg noted that it's not clear whether U.S. small businesses would have sufficient access to the type of credit they need if there were not a strong community banking sector.
