Employees launch self-paced training sessions online or take individual tests at their own pace and schedule rather than attending classroom sessions in person.  The result is a significant savings for doing the training self-paced and provides for a more consistent learning experience.  The flexibility of the system allows courses to be tracked by hours, or course credits can be assigned.  This allows all sessions to be tracked and catalogued, so the organization knows the status of individual learning across the organization in various topics.
 
Employees use the system to sign up for courses that apply to their job, and can request a course if they have a need that is not by one the courses that is currently.  Managers can also sign up their associates for courses to help load balance resources for critical front line functions.

One of the critical areas of training for the highly regulated financial services industry is compliance training.  The LMS allows for quick documented training of compliance changes to policies and procedures.  As regulations are constantly changing, organization can automate their entire learning program without needing compliance or legal staff to stay current.
