IBAT Recognizes Winners of Five Star Award

July 13 - The Independent Bankers Association of Texas recently recognized three associate members with its Five Star Award. This year’s winners are The Baker Group, Abound Resources and Diebold.

This year marks the fourth time The Baker Group has received this honor and the second straight year Abound Resources has received the award. Diebold is a first-time Five Star Award winner.

Since 2002, IBAT has recognized its associate members that provide excellent service and innovative solutions to help community banks maximize efficiency and competitiveness in the marketplace with the Five Star Award. Criteria used to determine this year’s winners included technical and support services, working relationships and cost savings the honorees bring to community banks.

“The Five Star Award is recognition by IBAT’s membership of a company that has delivered superior products and services that meet the very specific needs of community banks across Texas,” Chris Williston, IBAT president and CEO, said. “Winners of this award represent an elite group of service providers that are invaluable to us.”

All three winners are IBAT endorsed services providers. The Baker Group specializes in asset and liability management, broker and dealer services, investment portfolio accounting and analysis, and budget and board reporting services for Texas community banks. Abound Resources helps community financial institutions make the right technology decisions, including selecting or assessing a new technology system or negotiating a technology contract. Diebold is a global leader of self-service delivery systems, security, software and service for the financial, government, commercial and retail markets. Its key solutions for community banks include retail and drive-up banking equipment, branch facility equipment, integrated electronic and physical security solutions as well as other self-service terminals.
