BankNews Media Announces Two Promotions

July 1, 2010 - Janet Holman, publisher of BankNews Media, has announced the promotion of Scott Englert from account executive to senior account executive and Kari English from associate editor to senior editor.

“I congratulate both these individuals on their achievements,” Holman said. “They have worked hard and shown a strong dedication to BankNews,” said Janet Holman, publisher of BankNews.

Englert joined the company in November 2005. As a key member of the BankNews Media advertising team, he is responsible for generating new business and maintaining current advertising accounts for BankNews and Western Banking, as well as for the company’s state banking journals: California Banker, Florida Banking, Illinois Banker, Texas Banking and Virginia Banking. He also handles banner advertising and sponsorships to the company's website, BankNews.com.

English is responsible for managing the content in BankNews and Western Banking magazines, on the magazines’ websites and various email newsletters. Prior to joining BankNews Media in 2007, English spent seven years working for Penton Media, a business-to-business magazine publishing company, where she held the position of senior associate editor of Radio magazine.
