IBAT Launches Mobile App

Sept 6 - The Independent Bankers Association of Texas has launched the IBAT2GO mobile app. IBAT2GO provides members with convenient access to crucial information such as compliance guidance, updates on IBAT’s work throughout the state and event information.

IBAT2GO includes sections for news, legal ease, IBAT events and contact us with a function for users to contact the IBAT staff member who oversees each section. As increased compliance and regulatory guidelines continue to be the most pressing challenge facing community bankers — in Texas and across the country — the legal ease section is intended to help address this burden and lessen the workload for compliance officers. The accessibility of critical compliance information can assist not only Texas community bankers but also community bankers in other states in many instances.

“IBAT realizes that Texas community bankers are extremely busy and often on the go. We sought to create a mobile app that could share important information in an easy-to-view format with our members at their convenience, while they’re at work in their communities and not always in front of a computer,” Chris Williston, president and CEO of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas, said. “We’re proud to be the first state community banking association — and one of the only banking organizations of any kind — to offer this technology and support to our members.”

In addition to providing compliance help at a user’s fingertips, IBAT2GO shares in-depth information about IBAT’s work on legislative issues, original content written by the IBAT executive team and educational events such as conventions, summits, forums, day schools and the Bank Operations Institute.

IBAT2GO is currently available for iPhones and can be downloaded for free from the Apple store. To learn more, visit www.ibat.org.
