BankNews Now Available on iPhones and iPads

Feb 14, 2012 - BankNews, the leading independent magazine for community banks, has just released a mobile app for iPhones and iPads.

Published monthly, BankNews is committed to community bank management teams - from senior executives and corporate officers, to department directors and managers. Each issue covers the topics essential to today's management teams, including mobile and online banking, compliance and corporate governance, risk management and strategic planning, payments and data management, marketing and profitability, technology and security.

BankNews, which has served the banking industry for more than a century, introduced a digital edition in January 2011 to expand its readership across the Web. The new mobile app promises to expand readership even further to the thousands of professionals at financial institutions across the country using iPhones and iPads.

An innovative feature is the ability for a reader to visit an advertiser's website from within the mobile edition (left). The reader can view the website and its various pages for more information, and then return to the mobile edition of BankNews with a simple command.

Even more significant, email addresses listed in articles and ads can now be sent with a simple touch on the iPad and iPhone, and phone numbers can be dialed automatically with the iPhone.

The BankNews mobile app features the full library of digital editions, beginning with January 2011. Readers now have the ability to stay up-to-date with the industry's leading banking magazine anywhere at any time.
