House Financial Services Committee Changes Take Effect in January
Dec 10 - House Financial Services Committee changes taking effect after the new Congress convenes in January include Rep. Jeb Hensarling, R-Texas, as chairman, and Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., as vice chairman. Hensarling, who has been vice chairman, will succeed Rep. Spencer Bachus, R-Ala., who stepped down as chairman due to term limits.
The Senate Banking Committee is expected to have Sen.-elect Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., as a new member in January.
