GSB-Madison Offers New Ann Kleist Scholarship
March 5 - The Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin is pleased to introduce an all-new scholarship honoring Ann Kleist, former GSB vice president and chief financial officer. Kleist retired in December 2012, after 37 years of service to the school.
The Ann Kleist Scholarship honors Kleist’s contributions to the Graduate School of Banking as well her dedication to community service and volunteerism. Community service will be key criteria in selecting a scholarship recipient; the banker chosen for this award will be active in banking and also engaged in giving back to his or her community through volunteerism.
“Ann has given countless hours over many years to organizations that serve children and families in our community,” said Kirby Davidson, GSB’s president and CEO. “It’s very fitting that the scholarship that bears Ann’s name will benefit a banker who shares Ann’s commitment to serving those in need and working for the greater good.”
This scholarship provides a gift of $1,300 for each year of the student’s attendance (approximately 1/3 of the annual tuition fees) for a total value of $3,900. Applications are available here and the deadline to apply is March 29, 2013.
