John N. Venzon Named General Manager of Internet Solutions


April 2 - Jack Henry & Associates Inc. (Nasdaq: JKHY), a provider of technology solutions and payment processing services primarily for the financial services industry, has announced that John N. Venzon has assumed the executive position of general manager of Internet solutions, which has been performed by Vernon E. "Pete" Hopkins since July 1, 2007. Effective April 30, 2013, Hopkins will retire from Jack Henry & Associates after serving the company in a variety of progressive roles since 1995.

In his new role, Venzon will provide executive oversight of the development and support of the company's growing array of solutions that support financial institutions' Internet, mobile and tablet channels. Venzon will join the company's senior management team that currently encompasses 14 functionally aligned general managers and he will report to Tony Wormington, president of Jack Henry & Associates.

Jack Henry & Associates' suite of Internet banking solutions includes online banking and cash management; mobile and tablet; retail and small business electronic bill payment; person-to-person payment; online account opening; online financial management; electronic invoicing and receivables; electronic statement generation and delivery; website design, hosting and maintenance; multiple authentication and security solutions; and a variety of add-on applications.

According to Wormington, "Our best-of-suite online and mobile banking solutions provide the strategic components of a comprehensive e-commerce strategy that financial institutions must offer in order to attract and serve today's convenience-driven consumers and to effectively compete. As this product suite continues to grow, as the individual solutions inherently become more sophisticated and complex, and as the number of financial institutions depending on these customer-facing solutions continues to increase we are excited to have someone of John's caliber to take these dynamic solutions to the next-level. We are confident John's background and experience will enable him to make immediate tactical and strategic contributions."

Venzon joins Jack Henry & Associates after beginning his career with IBM where he spent 14 years serving in a variety of leadership roles, primarily focused on the financial services industry and encompassing hardware, software and client management. He subsequently held positions with a variety of companies including an Internet start-up and six years with Bank of America in various roles and capacities including enterprise payments programs executive, customer service and support executive, global consumer bank executive, global treasury services executive, global payments and investment bank executive, and program manager for global technology and operations. Most recently, he has served as the president of an environmental services franchise company. He has a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. He currently resides in Davidson, N.C., with his wife Laurie and their two children. They will be relocating to the Kansas City area within the year.
