July 5 - The Independent Bankers Association of Texas recently recognized four associate members with its coveted Five Star Award. This year’s winners are The Baker Group, The Genesis Group, PULSE and BKD, LLC. The winners were announced at the IBAT Leadership Conference on June 14 in Horseshoe Bay.
This year marks the fifth time The Baker Group has received this honor, therefore awarding the company the coveted IBAT Legends Award and retiring them from the competition. This the fourth time The Genesis Group has been honored with this award and the second year for PULSE. BKD, LLP is a first-time Five Star Award winner.
Since 2002, IBAT has recognized its associate members that provide excellent service and innovative solutions to help community banks maximize efficiency and competitiveness in the marketplace with the Five Star Award. Criteria used to determine this year’s winners included technical and support services, working relationships and cost savings the honorees bring to community banks.
“The Five Star Award is recognition by IBAT’s membership of a company that has delivered superior products and services that meet the very specific needs of community banks across Texas,” Chris Williston, IBAT president and chief executive officer, said. “We are honored to recognize these companies with this award as they represent an elite group of service providers that are invaluable to us.”
All four winners are IBAT-endorsed services providers. The Baker Group specializes in asset and liability management, broker and dealer services, investment portfolio accounting and analysis, and budget and board reporting services for Texas community banks. The Genesis Group offers combined marketing expertise in planning, expansion and acquisition, product development, sales and service programs to Texas community banks. PULSE is a leading debit and ATM network that serves more than 6,300 financial institutions across the U.S. BKD, LLP offers a variety of services to community banks in Texas such as accounting, audit and assurance, tax, risk management and many others.
