Primax Introduces EMV Chip Card Program Enhancements

June 17 - Primax, a premier provider of debit and credit card issuing and merchant acquiring programs, products and services, has announced improvements to its EMV chip card program. These enhancements include expanded options for chip plastic production. Via its partnership with a global leader in plastic card manufacture that uses multiple facilities in the U.S. for chip card manufacture, Primax now provides clients greater EMV chip card plastics production flexibility, options, and timeframes. Additionally, Primax’s EMV chip program includes a key management service to manage annual key rotation, key length requirements and chip certifications on its clients’ behalf. The Primax program also offers at least one MasterCard and one Visa EMV chip rollout annually in a group environment. The group rollout uses a template format and a phased approach that makes getting into the EMV chip space faster and less expensive for clients.

“Primax has been supporting EMV chip card programs since 2012," said Ted Keith, Jr., President and CEO of Primax. "Our staff assists clients with EMV chip planning through venues such as our monthly webinar series, annual client conference and personalized consultations – with plans in progress for a number of EMV-related educational opportunities in the upcoming months. Primax has the resources in place to migrate our clients to EMV-chip cards, coupled with the experience and support needed to insure their success.”

Primax has improved and strengthened its EMV chip program with better card manufacture capabilities, a key management service administered by Primax on behalf of its clients, and annual group rollouts that make transitioning to EMV chip faster and less expensive for clients. The Primax staff is engaged in on-going EMV chip education to ensure Primax offers a leading edge program.
