Sorrento Pacific Financial SPF Marketing Exchange

Sorrento Pacific Financial  a broker dealer and Registered Investment Advisor that provides customized investment and insurance solutions to community banks across the country, has developed a collaborative solution that helps community banks  market their investment programs easily, cost-effectively and within assured compliance guidelines.

As part of its services, the broker dealer introduced the SPF Marketing Exchange, a portal that allows bank management to download customizable marketing materials to promote their investment programs and to learn from their peers’ experiences. Materials include examples and customizable templates for documents such as flyers, letters, posters, email campaigns and more. The exchange portal provides full, compliance-approved marketing campaigns to management, minimizing their need to hire marketing staff.

The majority of materials are “tried and true” campaigns that have already been successful at other banks across the nation. Once a bank implements a successful marketing campaign for their investment services, bank executives submit the compliance-approved promotion materials to SPF for sharing. The materials, along with a success story, are added to the portal for other banks to customize and use. The SPF Marketing Exchange streamlines the entire marketing process and makes it easy and efficient for banks to promote their investment services.

Along with materials from other banks, SPF also co-develops marketing programs with product vendors. A good example is the “Income for Life” retirement planning workshop sponsored by New York Life. SPF and the vendor teamed up to create scripts, handouts, visuals and informational materials to be customized and utilized by any bank that needs the support.

In addition, educational newsletter articles are developed and can be added to a bank’s branded newsletter or e-newsletter. SPF Marketing Exchange both expands the bank’s services and enhances its customer relationships. Investment advisors don’t have to spend their limited time to develop great educational material, and they don’t have to have a marketing degree to promote their new offerings: SPF and its Marketing Exchange handle that for them so they can focus on working with clients.

Implemented in March 2009, the Marketing Exchange has already been used by numerous banks across the country. From sample postcards, to emails, to entire workshops, community banks now have access to stellar materials to market their investment services, and all they have to do is logon to their SPF Exchange. It’s all the bang without the buck, and that’s an innovative solution worth commendation.
