Data-Driven Voice Apps for Alexa Skills
In June, SPLICE launched new Data-Driven Dialogs® for the connected home. This groundbreaking product allows SPLICE’s clients to leverage existing API connectivity and dialogs to answer time-sensitive queries from customers via Amazon Alexa, including Echo, Dot, Samsung-, and LIG-integrated products; with additional apps in development for Google Home, MS Cortana, and Apple HomePod.
SPLICE’s Data-Driven Dialogs are personalized, automated messages that integrate data from multiple sources to deliver human voice & SMS messages based on real-time information, at critical points along the customer journey. Historically, these dialogs have been delivered via either SMS messaging or phone (landline or mobile) based on customer preferences, but the extension into dialogs for home assistants enables SPLICE’s clients to connect with customers where they live—in their homes.
For example, a bank or credit union customer could ask for current interest rates on a CD or auto loan, or ask for the status on a mortgage application, all by asking the Echo or Echo Dot for the information. Since SPLICE’s phone dialogs use real human voice recordings which are then “spliced” together on demand, those same voice recordings are delivered to Alexa to give customers the answers they need on demand—not in Alexa’s voice, but in an emotionally-relevant, human voice, chosen specifically by the brand.
Dialogs are executed within SPLICE’s patented Dialog Suite™ (see image below), a cloud-based client portal designed to optimize customer communications. Information, permissions, and preferences are captured and stored in SPLICE’s Dialog Controller™. Dialogs are built within the Dialog Builder™ and executed within the Dialog Director™. Reporting is then delivered via the Dialog Dashboard™.
