April 19 – Computer Services, Inc., a provider of end-to-end financial technology solutions, has promoted David Culbertson to chief operating officer. In his new role, Culbertson now oversees the strategic direction for the company’s entire portfolio of technology and financial services solutions.
As chief operating officer, Culbertson will lead the development, implementation and support of CSI’s core banking solutions, electronic and print distribution offerings and IT managed services. With nearly 30 years of leadership experience within the company, he has a vast understanding of CSI’s technology infrastructure, operational processes and customer base. “Technology offers us myriad opportunities to continue innovating and delivering a first-class customer experience, and David possesses the leadership skills to help us excel in achieving our future goals,” said Steve Powless, CSI’s chief executive officer. “Given his vast knowledge of both our company and the industry, he has keen insight that will advance our strategic vision for integrated, best-in-class fintech solutions that are backed by the industry’s most dedicated service.”
Culbertson began his career with CSI in 1989 and has since held numerous leadership positions throughout the company; he most recently served as president of CSI’s Technology Services Group, a role in which he led the overall strategic direction for such initiatives as IT, research and development, telecommunications, document delivery services and managed services. As chief operating officer, he retains those responsibilities and also assumes leadership of CSI’s Financial Services Group, which includes its core bank processing platforms, product management and relationship management. Culbertson also is a past president of the Association for Financial Technology (AFT) and is currently the board chairman for the Lourdes Foundation.
“CSI holds a unique place in the fintech industry: we have a 50-year reputation for innovation and service, and we are poised to not only maintain, but also advance, our position as a leading provider of integrated technology solutions,” Culbertson said. “It’s an honor to be named chief operating officer, and I look forward to working across the organization to further our commitment to product innovation while maintaining our service culture.”
