January 31 — The CFPB has issued a request for information (RFI) regarding adminstrative adjudciations, seeking to better understand the benefits and impacts of its use of such. Information on possible improvements to the existing process are also sought.

Bank Rolls Out Campaign Encouraging Parents to Budget for Kids’ Activities

January 31 — Using the 2018 Winter Olympics as a backdrop, Atlanta, Ga.-headquartered SunTrust Bank is launching an ad campaign to encourage parents to budget and save for the often high-priced fees of their children’s extracurricular activities.


Young Adults Are Rapidly (and Rabidly) Embracing P2P Payments

January 31 — In an online survey of 3,011 U.S. adults, 57 percent of all respondents claimed to use person-to-person (P2P) payment services. Among those aged 18 to 34 years, however, that number was nearly 80 percent. Rather than handing over cash or writing a check, four out of every five young adults are using services such as PayPay, Venmo, Google Wallet or Facebook Messanger to exchange money with peers.
