Recently, Iceland-based bank Kvika selected M-Files, an intelligent information management solution, to help the firm effectively organize and manage documents in its branch offices, as well as its loan and pension savings departments. The solution gives the bank the ability to easily integrate with a custom-built customer relationships management system and accelerates loan processing between Kvika’s front office, loan department and back office.
M-Files’ platform organizes content based on what it is, not where it’s stored. Because the solution tags metadata, the same information can be searched for and found using different criteria depending on the use case. Automated permissions also make it easy to adhere to security and industry standards, standard operating procedures and quality and compliance requirements.
Users can connect to existing network folders and systems to make them more intelligent, with built-in AI to automatically categorize and protect information. Customers can view and manage business data, business processes and all related documents in the same place, and can also access M-Files Online as a centralized repository for all data or connect to the platform externally without the need for data migration.
The platform is metadata-based, repository neutral and intelligent and can be integrated into the bank’s existing system. It can be deployed on-premise, in the cloud or as a hybrid of both. Kvika reported that implementing M-Files has enabled staff to get the documents they need in a more efficient manner that requires fewer phone calls and email interactions.
